Florian XIII edition of "Temporanea" Postacards
For the 13th edition of "Temporanea - the possible realities of the Caffè Florian" entitled "So, we'll go no more a roving", the Italian Post Office has dedicated to Qiu Zhijie, the artist of this installation and to Florian, a special stamp convalidation together with a set of celebrating limited edition post cards. A unique occasion both for collectors and for those who want a special souvenir of this important exhibition.
TEMPORANEA - the possible realities of the Caffè Florian
The Venice Biennale of visual Arts, the future Venice Biennale, was conceived around the Cafè Florian marble tables at the end of the 1800s, and for years its rooms have hosted initiatives proposed by the most significant realities of contemporary art. The idea to link the concept of art and culture led to the birth of “Temporanea - The Possible Realities of the Caffè Florian,” an exhibition series where the Florian’s “spaces” are redefined with the help of installations by internationally-renowned artists.
Most of the works exhibited at the Florian are now part of the Caffè’s private collection and are often lent to important museums, such as the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the Guggenheim Museum in New York, on the occasion of special events.
