English Breakfast tea – teabags
English breakfast tea is a traditional and surely one of the most popular and appreciated blend of black teas, an energy boost to pair with sweet and savoury breakfast.
It combines a selection of strong black teas that make it full-bodied and slightly bitter. You can drink it natural or with a splash of milk, and sweeten with sugar or honey.
Its origin seems to date back to the end of the 19th century, when a Scottish tea Master from Edinburgh, Mr. Drysdale, firstly prepared this mix of different black teas, calling it Breakfast tea. Among the first people to drink the new blend was Queen Victoria, fond of the Scottish culture. The Breakfast tea took off from here throughout England.
