"Gli Impossibili" glass by Silvano Rubino
Conceived by the artist Silvano Rubino exclusively for Caffè Florian, these glasses compose a couple, male and female. They are in blown Pirex glass and for the female, the glass with a curvy stem, the artist has used the watermark.
Rubino's works are made at Anfora in Murano, a small furnace preferred by renowned artists, and they are exclusive pieces which make part of a limited edition.
Silvano Rubino is an artist who interprets glass with ancient wisdom whilst attaining extremely modern results. His education at the Venice Accademia delle Belle arti makes him experiment with various espressive language, working on painting, photography, installation, video and video installation. He cooperates with the Abate Zanetti glass school in Murano for some courses of drawing and design. Among his most recent exhibitions are: Vetri nel Mondo Oggi, Istituto Veneto di Scienze Lettere ed Arti, 2004; In scala perfetta, galleria Michela Rizzo, 2006.
