Typical Venetian WinesTo suit all the different preferences and tastes, Florian offers a range of wines made with selected grape varieties coming from Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Lombardia regions.
Next to the fresh and pleasant tradition of white wines, there are also the red wines, nicely structured and full-bodied, and the prestigious and renowned sparkling wines: different wines that can be perfectly paired with different specialties.
Forthright and fruity, with sweet aromas of vanilla and fresh flowers, the Chardonnay D.O.C. has a straw yellow colour with greenish tinges.
In the mouth it is refreshing, crisp, rounded and balanced and, for this reason, it is perfect with fish-based appetizer, crustacean in general and white meat.
Another white wine with fruity notes is the Soave D.O.C., whose origin comes from hillsides area around the city of Verona. Characterized by a delicate colour, it is renowned for its dry, harmonious and slightly bitter taste, suitable to be combined with the traditional dishes of the Veneto region.
The selection of the Florian white wines includes the Pinot Grigio D.O.C., famous for its lingering taste with fruity and floral notes of banana, pineapple and wisteria flowers. At its best when served cold, it is ideal to pair with fish specialties, risotto and delicately sweet cheeses.
Among the red wines, the Florian selection lists three renown labels typical of the Triveneto area: the Cabernet D.O.C., bright ruby red with a slightly tannic flavor and notes of cherry, red and black berries, green pepper and sun-dried hay, the Merlot D.O.C., a caressing, dry with a good body wine, excellent with roast and barbeque meats and the Valpolicella D.O.C., a full-bodied and velvety wine, perfect to pair with meats and game dishes.
To celebrate the special occasions or to toast during an aperitif, the venetian sparkling wines are the best known all around Italy and also abroad: the Valdobbiadene Prosecco D.O.C.G. and Brut Franciacorta D.O.C.G. Both very refreshing, they are the protagonists of the aperitifs but can also accompany all the dishes of a meal thanks to their delicate flavor to the palate.
